The twilight movies are back

This week, Lionsgate company, creator associated with Stephenie Meyer revealed that will bring back the vampire story, now as short films that will be broadcast through Facebook since 2015.

"We believe that Facebook is a great way to introduce the world of Twilight to a new audience, and re-energize existing fans," said Michael Burns, vice president of Lionsgate, told Time magazine.

According to the same medium, the announcement reflects the massive user base of Facebook and its role as a platform for exchange, thus alluding to a reorganization in the distribution pattern of the film, which does not involve cinemas and ticket sales.

The initiative also is part of a contest where five filmmakers will be chosen which direct short. The winners will be selected by a jury of the star of Twilight, Kristen Stewart, along with actresses Kate Winslet, Julie Bowen and Octavia Spencer; Frozen writer, Jennifer Lee; director Catherine Hardwicke and the president of Women In Film, Cathy Schulman, The Hollywood Reporter revealed.

"I am honored to be working with Women In Film, Lionsgate and Facebook on a project dedicated to giving more women the opportunity to be heard in a creative way," said the creator of the story, Stephenie Meyer.
